  1. -Describe what you learnt about structures around the world!
I learnt that some structures are built out of all kinds of things, Such as in Egypt the structures are made out of mud, stone and straw!

    – How do structures around the world differ to structures in Australia? Explain why.
Structures in Egypt are built out of totally different materials! Structures in Australia are built out of metal, steal, bricks and much more.

    – Who do you think completed the best inquiry project? Why?
I think that bhvica and Vanessa’s structure was well presented and had heaps to present on the expo and had lots of information!

  2. -Describe what you learnt about structures around the world:
Well in Spain there a lot of pointy buildings with statutes and the building might be a cathedral because in Spain there a lot of huge buildings and they are probably not really made out of limestone and all of the old things and I also had learnt that Spain isn’t in Australia.

    – How do structures around the world differ to structures in Australia? Explain why.
We’ll I am doing Spain and they have all different buildings and they are all small and humongous most of them are tall and ancient and in Australia they are mainly small and not really ancient and sacred but they do have some just a bit of ancient and they are mainly really modern.

    – Who do you think completed the best inquiry project? Why?
I think that Sam has the bests project because they have electricity and water and it really awesome because if they had a problem they would fix it and there fan thing fell in the water by some one and they fixed it straight away.

  3. Describe what you think about structures around the world:

I learnt that there are different structures around the world.

The kind of structures are different to Australia and some other country’s like to have a lot of different decorations and some of other country’s have weaker buildings than Australia

I think my project was the best because we planed it and made it look good and we completed it and got on with other thing and we got a lot of people to have a look at our wonderful project that we completed.

  4. I learnt that in some countries can only have tall buildings to prevent snow for example in snowy areas they can only have pointed roofs so they don’t get sowed in or freeze to death from the snow staying there too long. The materials for a highly complicated structure would likely be stone, glass, brick.

There are different structures around the world because if there was a symmetrical but in different places they would get really confused and just go to a different icon instead. These are different structures because in some countries the structures are sacred and to important to the country like the old Melbourne jail instead of tearing it down they turned it into a great tourist attraction.

In my opinion the best inquiry expo was Vanessa and Bahvica because Bahvica and Vanessa had their work to a very high standard and the both gathered the most people and told them how they completed their work.I think now since they did a great job the grade 4’s will look forward to next year.

  5. Describe what you learnt about structures around the world?
Most structures in Peru are built with mud bricks or sand. Some famous structures in Peru are Machu Picchu, Ollantytambo, choqeuquirao, Piscataway and 6 more. Most of the famous stutctures have grass covering it.
Structures around the world differ because we have different culture and beliefs the other countries.
I think that Bhivica and Vanessa did the best because it shows how much hard work they have put in to the project.

  6. Do not delete! – Describe what you learnt about structures around the world.
Structures around the world come in different sizes and shapes such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Egyptians built pyramids.

    – How do structures around the world differ to structures in Australia? Explain why.
Heaps of houses in Brazil are put together because that’s the poor part of Brazil and in Australia there is about a a space about at least 15 feet.

    – Who do you think completed the best inquiry project? Why?

Jordan W because it was detailed

  7. Describe what you have learnt about structures around the world:
I’ve learnt that structures that are around the world look really different compared to others because some countries like Germany have things like LegoLand while other countries don’t.

How do structures around the world differ to structures in Australia? Explain why.
They’re different because other countries have better history than Australia such as Germany has the Neuschwanstein castle which is thousands of years old and Australia has Uluru which we don’t know how old it is.

Who do you think completed the best inquiry project? why?
I think that Bhivca and Vanessa had the best inquiry project because it looked like they put a lot of effort into their work because placing those sticks down without knocking them down would mean they’re very careful with their work.

  8. Inquiry expo term 4 reflection

Describe what you learnt about structures around the world?
I learnt that not all structures are the same in each country because of the resources that each country might have like in some countries might only have stone or wood so that would be what they have to build out of that be some countries might have different things so they get different things to build structures out of.

How are structures different to structures in Australia? Explain why.
The structures might be build out of different resources like structures in Australia might be built out of bricks but in Brazil for example might be built out of stone. It also depends on if the structure is a house or not so like if you were comparing a hotel and a retirement village they would be majorly different because a retirement village is a lot smaller then a hotel. You might be thinking of two houses and then it depends on how big the houses that you are comparing like are there one or two levels to the houses.

Who do you think completed the best project? Why?
I think Sam Harrison and Talia Whelen presentation was the best because I liked what they presented and most of the times they had some of the other people at their station and they were talking to the people that we’re visiting their station for a little bit about their country and their whole presentation in total and they were working together at all times what is a good thing.

  9. I learnt that you need a passport wherever you go or you get sent to jail.

1st. I learnt that in Europe there are allot of different shape and sized structures for example in France there is the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumph and the louvre and in London there is Big Ben and the London bridge.

2nd. I learnt that in Asia I learnt that they don’t celebrate Christmas instead they have this holiday that that make these weird food arts with dreys up veggies, fruits and others and they past them on a sheet of paper and they hang them up.

3rd. I learnt that in Africa they play drums to tell stories about animals for example if it was an elephant running it would be hard and fast but if it was a cheetah running it would be soft but super fast.

4th. I learnt that in South America they make bracelets and anklets out of coloured string with all different designs and they do this because it’s a Brazil tradition and they make them because they want to give someone a gift or they what to make them for themselves.

5th. I learnt that in North America that there are a lot of different famous sports like basketball and hokey and they are a lot of famous sport player that have been playing for years.

  10. Describe what you learnt about the structures around the world?

What I have learnt about structures around the world is that in each Country the structures have a really different technique on how they choose to design and build the building. I have also learnt that a these two men called Enrique Browne and Borja Huidobo love to build buildings that have grass designs or grass on the balcony.

  11. Hey inquiry looks fun, and busy, well done to everyone in the pictures you have all done a great job.
